Michal Geva is the Founder and Managing Partner of Triventures, a venture capital fund focused on transformational health which includes medical device and data driven digital health technologies in Israel and the United States.
Michal Geva has over 20 years of experience in medtech startups both in Israel and the US in a variety of executive positions.
Ten years ago, Michal identified that it is not sufficient for a startup to have a strong, innovative core technology, but in order to realize success abroad, it is critical to have a deep understanding of commercial integration into the healthcare systems. With this principle in mind, she started Triventures and was the first woman to found and manage a venture capital fund in Israel.
Together with her Co Founder, Dr. Peter Fitzgerald, she has built a strong syndicate of strategic investor to the fund, which include top tier medtech, Healthcare organizations, and consumer electronic companies such as Medtronic, Johnson & Johnson, Boston Scientific, Abbott Laboratories, Philips, St. Jude Medical, Cardinal Health, Intermountain Healthcare, Samsung and Nikon.
Prior to Triventures, Michal held executive roles in a number of startups in Israel and Silicon Valley including ByPass (collaborated with J&J), AST (acquired by Boston Scientific) and GI View.
In 2017 Michal was duly recognized as one of the 50 most influential women in Israel by Globes, Israel’s leading financial journal. Michal is involved in all the fund’s major decisions and investments and has served as an active board member in the majority of the portfolio companies.
